Democracy, Human Rights & Equality

This is not a political article, just a brief reason why I am sleepless tonight.

Due to preparation for debate competition, I have had chances to meet with some peoples and get to know their views regarding Malaysia. There are CEOs of big corparates, leaders of political parties, as well as scholars.

You will never feel optimistic about Malaysia once you had heard what they said. If what about BN are lies, lies, and sucked lies; then what about Malaysia are problems, problems, and piles of problems.

Suddenly you feel like want to migrate.

But they stay. We stay.

We all agree that we do not like the current political situation in Malaysia, neither the economy development, nor the social circumstances. Yet we hope for change.

There are somethings that Malaysians, especially the youngsters should have started to do, i.e. to hold tight to some universal values, to understand, to fight for and to practice them.

Those are: democracy, human rights and equality.

Our country has so far had none of the above, or a defected one. Poor Malaysia, poor Malaysians.

then how about PRC? it even doesn't have electing system. people have no right to demonstrate, form parties and give speeches freely. media is controlled by government strictly, no private media at all, no opposition parties at all.government put people who criticise it too harshly in jail even without anyone knowing it...politics in Malaysia is much more open and fair than in PRC, though problems exist...at least you have hopes, but we don't...

Anyway,
